About 6 months ago, we walked into our company meeting and a YouTube video of a young man named, Chooka Parker, was playing. Chooka has an incredible talent living inside of him. He is remarkable because he just went with what he felt inside…to make music. He had no lessons, he had no idea what he was going to play. He just sat down, placed his fingers on the keyboard and the rest just…happened.
Did you know we each have this inside of us?
I have friends who are great bakers, sewers, enjoy driving long distances, playing with kids, reading books, growing gardens, listening to friends, holding babies, cleaning houses, washing cars, organizing events, amazing dancers, enjoy skydiving, sitting with old folks, teaching skateboarding…the list just goes on. All of these are unique talents that we should not be keeping inside of us, but let them out to be experienced by the world. Aren’t we all here to benefit and serve others?
Steve Prefontaine is quoted as saying, “To give anything less than your best is to sacrifice the gift.” Are you hearing me? This is so true, everyone! What is your best? Are you keeping it all to yourself? Why? Let it go! Share it with others! Come alive with your talents!
Say it: “I want to be like Chooka!”
