I just read through LifeHealthPro’s article about LIMRA‘s prediction for 2015 and thought, “R U 4 Real?” Could the article be a little more dreary [insert sarcastic tone]? Are we going to just throw our arms up in the air and say, “Oh well – another flat year.” Remember what Sir Mix-A-Lot said in 1992: he ain’t down with flat and neither am I!
Forecasts are always a little sketchy in my opinion. I mean, how many times has a weather person been wrong? Enough times that when someone says it’s going to be warm and sunny in Northeast Indiana, we still wear layers of clothes because we know that chance for the chill to return is predicated more on Mother Nature’s decision to throw a little lake effect our way in a moment’s notice versus some weather forecaster’s prediction. Forecasts are just what someone else thinks might happen…it’s not defining the future.
Just throw negative thoughts out the window! Instead think:
- What are you going to do differently this year to effect change in your life insurance sales for 2015?
- What will be your impact on lives in 2015?
- What new market are your going to work on getting into?
- What new line of protection products could you add to your services?

There never has to be déjà vu in your future – there is only déjà YOU… you’re going to make the difference in your own business. We are all responsible in making a difference. Collectively, we are going to change this so-called ‘prediction’ and wipe our financial service community hands free of these negative forecasts.
