Born and raised in the St. Louis Metropolitan area (Go Cardinals!), I was named Sheryl Brown because I was a child of the ’70’s and that was a cool name to have back then. (I went through a phase when I was about nine years old where I wished my name had been Michelle. It sounded more “girly” as I told my father. Thank you, Sheryl Crow, for making my name cool again for a short while!)
I’ve been married to a really great man for the past 20+ years and we have three kids. Our oldest child is now married with two little boys (twins!) and so I’m ALSO a grandma! Best title to ever have is a grandparent. Don’t knock until you try it. Officially my grandsons refer to me as “Razee Mamma” (Crazy Grandma) and as you get to know me, you’ll understand why that name is appropriate.
With great fortune, I’ve been able to work in the world of social media where I have met thousands of people, made hundreds of connections, developed tens upon tens of wonderful friends, and even had to manage my way through a few trolls along the way. I get up every day and thank God I get to do something I love every single day for a living. What an honor!
In addition, I’m in the midst of writing a book – hence the blog. I am a storyteller by nature. Uncovering diamonds in the rough and seeking out silver linings is what I’m all about. Now, don’t get me wrong. Everything in my life is NOT about unicorns and warm fuzzies, but I do work hard at activating the goodness in my life. It’s also there for you too – you just have to choose that journey for yourself.
I look forward to “getting to know you” and encourage that you follow along here or at @BionicSocialite.
Let’s be friends! Email, text or call – I love to get them all!
